The Flaming Lips To Release New Single Every Month In 2011

January 4, 2011
The Flaming Lips To Release New Single Every Month In 2011The Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne has said the band are hoping to release a new single every month this year.

Coyne said the group planned to begin recording later in January and that they would document the process.

“We'll try to release a song a month and document the song in the making, whether it takes us three or five days or a week,” he told Rolling Stone.

“It's gonna be, 'We're working on a song and it's gonna be up by Friday'. We just want to [release new material] some other way."

Coyne admitted that the group had a number of ideas about what formats to release the new songs on, including children's toys and cereal boxes.
