Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne Wants Justin Timberlake For New Movie

March 10, 2010
Flaming Lips' Wayne Coyne Wants Justin Timberlake For New MovieFlaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne says he's hoping Justin Timberlake will make a special appearance in his forthcoming film.

The singer-turned-director is currently working on the follow-up movie to his 2008 effort, Christmas On Mars.

And in an interview with Rolling Stone, he revealed he was targeting a big name cast for his latest project.

“I’m gonna try to get real actors, too, celebrities to show up and have fun with us for a couple of nights,” he said.

“I’m in the process of begging Justin Timberlake to be part of it; if I’m lucky I’ll be able to wear him down in another year.”

As well as working on his new film, Coyne is due to join his Flaming Lips bandmates at a series of festivals over the summer.

These include a headlining performance at the Green Man Festival in the Brecon Beacons, Wales.
