Wyclef Jean Shot In HaitiMarch 21, 2011
Wyclef Jean has been released from hospital after receiving treatment for a gunshot wound in Haiti.
The former Fugees singer was shot in the hand last night (March 19) in Delmas, Haiti, reports Billboard. The shooting happened on the eve of the presidential elections in Haiti, where Jean was there supporting musician Michel Martelly. No further information about the incident has been released. The rapper, who lived in Haiti until he was nine, attempted to run for president after country suffered a devastating earthquake last year.
