Adele, Ke$ha Dominate The UK ChartsJanuary 30, 2011
Kesha has gone straight to number one in the UK singles chart with 'We R Who We R'.
The US singer has sold almost 90,000 copies of single 'We R Who We R', the first to be taken from her new album 'Animal + Cannibal'. There were two new entries inside the top-10; Chase & Status' 'Blind Faith' featuring Liam Bailey at number five and Chris Brown's 'Yeah 3X' at number ten, according to the Official Charts Company. Meanwhile, in the album chart, Adele's '21' went straight to number one selling over 208,000 copies in it's first week of release. '21' has become the biggest January album in the last five years since Arctic Monkey's 'Whatever People Say I Am That’s What I’m Not' in 2003. The singer's debut '19' was also in the top-10 alongside Imelda May's 'Mayhem' at number seven and Alfie Boe's 'Bring Me Home at number nine.
