Elton John has announced details of a UK tour, which will take place next year. The singer will play three outdoor dates, starting at Greenhous Meadow in Shrewsbury on June 12. 
Bon Jovi are set to headline next year's Hard Rock Calling festival in London, it's been announced. The band will top the bill on Saturday June 25 in Hyde Park. The event is also expected to take place on two other days.

Rihanna has said that her assault by former boyfriend Chris Brown was a “wake-up call”. Brown attacked the singer shortly before the Grammy Awards in February 2009. He later pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to five years of probation. 
Damon Albarn has revealed that he was disappointed when Gorillaz were beaten two number one on the UK album chart by Boyzone. The cartoon band's latest effort 'Plastic Beach' had been expected to take the top spot back in March, but missed out to the the Irish band's 'Brother'.
