Maximo Park To Play Free Charity GigMarch 18, 2009
Maximo Park are to play a one off charity gig at Newcastle's College Performance Academy on March 24th.
As well as performing songs from new album 'Quicken The Heart', the group will be signing 250 limited edition copies of their new single 'Wraithlike'. Fans will be able to buy a copy of the 7" single for £3 with all proceeds going to the charity No Surrender. The No Surrender Charitable Trust was established by Jason Boas, a friend of the band who recently died, and aims to support cancer sufferers around the world via an online social network. Wristbands for the gig will be available from the venue on a first-come-first-served basis on the day of the show. 'Quicken The Heart', produced by Nick Launay, is released in May.
