Joaquin Phoenix 'Confronts Heckling Fan In Miami'March 12, 2009
Joaquin Phoenix had to be restrained by security at a gig in Miami last night (March 11th) after confronting an audience member, it's been reported.
Phoenix, who launched a rap career last year, is reported to have approached a fan who was heckling him. "We have a b****** in the audience," Phoenix said, before jumping into the crowd at the Liv night club. Security apparently dragged the former actor back onto the stage before escorting him away. One fan, Jorge Lledo, 30, told the Press Association: "I saw the guy screaming at Joaquin, and Joaquin just came down.” The gig, which was filmed by Phoenix's brother-in-law and Hollywood director Casey Affleck, was the rapper's second live performance. A show in Las Vegas in January, also filmed by Afleck, ended in similar controversy when Phoenix fell from the stage. The rapper's inconsistent live performances had led many fans to speculate as to whether his new career is part of an elaborate hoax. But Phoenix has denied the reports – and revealed that he has plans to release a hip-hop album. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Joaquin Phoenix: 'I Wanted To Quit I'm Still Here' (30.09.2010)
