James Replace Iron Maiden In Best Live Return Category At Vodafone AwardsAugust 8, 2008
James will replace Iron Maiden in the Best Live Return category at this year's Vodafone Live Music Awards, organisers have confirmed.
The alteration comes after Iron Maiden asked for their nomination to be withdrawn because they “are not quite sure where we are returning from”. The band were nominated alongside The Verve, Spice Girls and Led Zeppelin for their concert at Twickenham stadium in London. A spokeswoman for the awards said they “respect and support” Iron Maiden's decision. “We are also extremely pleased to announce that James will be replacing them in the category of Best Live Return,” she added. The Vodafone Live Music awards ceremony will take place at the Brixton Academy in London on September 18th. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Iron Maiden Announce 2011 UK Arena Tour (11.11.2010)
