Akon Mobbed By 300 Fans Outside London Fast Food Restaurant

January 27, 2009
Akon Mobbed By 300 Fans Outside London Fast Food RestaurantUS R&B star Akon has claimed he was mobbed by “about 300 fans” as he went to watch a movie in London last weekend.

The incident happened after the rapper tried to film a fight on his mobile phone during his journey to the cinema.

“It was really funny so I started filming it on my phone. I forgot who I was for a second, and people started to notice me - before I knew it I was being mobbed by about 300 fans,” he said.

Akon had to take shelter in a nearby Burger King in order to escape the crowd.

“They had to sneak us out the back and I never did get to see that film,” he told the Daily Star.
