Information
Rumer is the professional name of the British female singer-songwriter, Sarah Joyce (born 1979, Pakistan). Her stage name was inspired by the author Rumer Godden. Rumer's voice has been described by The Guardian as being reminiscent of Karen Carpenter. Her debut single, "Slow", was featured on Smooth FM, and on BBC Radio 2 as a Record of the Week, and she is signed to Atlantic Records. When Rumer was discovered by Burt Bacharach, he paid for her flight to California so he could hear her sing. Albums
