Alex Turner To Play Secret Show At Glastonbury FestivalJune 27, 2008
Alex Turner is to play a secret set at Glastonbury tomorrow night.
The Arctic Monkeys singer will perform on The Park stage with The Last Shadow Puppets, he exclusively told Gigwise. “We may do a little Shadow Puppets thing,” he said. “Why not? I’m exactly sure what’s going on yet, but it’s going to happen.” His partner in the band, Miles Kane, had just come off the Other Stage after an energetic set with his band The Rascals. Turner was impressed with the show, and in jovial mood. After signing a fans programme, he accidentally stole Gigwise’s pen. “Have I robbed your pen? Really, are you sure? Ah, there’s a story for you.” It could be a year of special unannounced gigs at Glastonbury, with Franz Ferdinand also set for a secret Park performance later tonight.
