Machine Head is an American heavy metal band from Oakland, California, formed in 1992. Founded by singer and guitarist Robb Flynn and bassist Adam Duce, there have been only 4 personnel changes since its inception. The current lineup of the band comprises Flynn (vocals, guitar), Duce (bass), Phil Demmel (guitar), and Dave McClain (drums). Alice In Chains, Machine Head Added To SonisphereFebruary 23, 2009 Alice In Chains, Machine Head and Avenged Sevenfold are amongst the spate of new acts confirmed for the Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth. Also joining the line-up at the inaugural two-day rock festival will be Thin Lizzy and The Sword, the latter were personally hand-picked by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. Read more
Machine Head In Therapy As Metallica Tour StartsFebruary 11, 2009 Machine Head vocalist Robb Flynn and bassist Adam Duce have signed up for therapy sessions after a series of bitter fights momentarily caused Flynn to quit the band. In a typically candid post on the band's official website, Flynn said things came to a head in Paris on their tour with Slipknot when he walked out. He only returned when Duce called a truce.
