T.I. Announces Return With New Single 'I'm Back'

T.I. has announced his return to music following a one-year prison sentence.

The rapper, who was jailed last year for a federal weapons offence, released his new single, 'I'm Back' yesterday (March 8).

T.I. told MTV the digital-download only release addressed “a lot of things that went down” during his incarceration.

“This was the greatest platform for me to do it,” he said. “It was the first song I did when I came home.”

Meanwhile, the rapper also revealed that his as-yet-untitled new album would be released on August 24.

T.I.'s return yesterday came as fellow hip-hop star Lil' Wayne was handed a one-year jail term for gun possession.
