Britney Spears is currently recording a new studio album, according to her vocal producer Jim Beanz.

Beanz, who has also co-written with the star in the past, said that the singer was blocking out her much publicised private life.

"Everyone has personal stuff, but a true professional doesn't bring it into the studio,” he told US Magazine.

Spears' last album 'Blackout', released in 2007, charted at number two on the US Billboard Top-200.

The record was the singer's first studio project since 2003's 'In The Zone' and received unexpected critical acclaim.
