Editors frontman Tom Smith says he hopes that the band can capture the “ferociousness” of their live shows on their third album.

Speaking to the BBC, Smith said that he plans to take some time out over the coming months to begin writing the album.

"I know there's an element to our band, a kind of power and ferociousness that we have when we play live that we haven't quite captured yet on record,” he said.

“Maybe things have been a little bit too smooth,” he added.
