Bon Iver has announced that he will release a new album this summer.

The self-titled effort, which is the follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2008 debut, 'For Emma, Forever Ago', is due out on June 20 in the UK and June 21 in the US.

It was recorded over a three year period at April Base Studios, a former veterinarian's clinic in Fall Creek, WI.

Bon Iver, real name Justin Vernon, joined Kanye West on stage at the Coachella festival last weekend. He also appeared on the rapper's recent album 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'.
