The Darkness Reform In Original Line-UpMarch 11, 2011
The Darkness have reformed in their original line-up after brothers Justin and Dan Hawkins resolved a long-running dispute.
No official announcement has been made about their plans, but the band have launched new website, theactualdarkness.com. The Sun reports that the Hawkins brothers have settled a feud which stemmed back to Justin's past drug problems. Neither brother has confirmed the report, but Justin posted on Twitter today (March 11): "Darkness actual news coming soon!” Last year, he famously called reports that the band were about to get back together “essentially horse sh*t”. Justin left the group in 2006 in order to undergo rehabilitation for drug addiction, but the rest of the band initially carried on without him. The Darkness' 2003 debut album 'Permission To Land' went to number one in the UK and featured the hit 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love'.
