Eminem Pays Tribute To Detroit During Super Bowl AdvertFebruary 7, 2011
Eminem paid tribute to his home city of Detroit during the Super Bowl last night (February 6).
The rapper appeared in a new car advert which aimed to reaffirm Detroit's reputation as the Motor City following the recession. The advert show Eminem driving through the city's streets to the sound of his hit 'Lose Yourself', before arriving at a theatre. Walking onto the stage backed by a gospel choir, Eminem turns to the camera and says: “This is the Motor City and this is what we do.” The advert proved popular with viewers and was one of two featuring Eminem that aired during yesterday's American football spectacle. Watched by more than 100 million viewers, the Super Bowl offers companies access to one of the most lucrative TV audiences in television.
