The 10-year-old singer, who is signed to the rapper’s record label Roc Nation, said he was always on hand to offer her advice.

"It is very cool, because Jay really welcomes me and makes me feel like the record label is a place where I can have fun and talk about my career," she told Vanity Fair.

"He and his people make me feel like I'm a part of something."

Smith, daughter of Hollywood actor Will Smith, went on to describe Jay-Z’s wife Beyonce as “awesome”.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that the singer is due to appear in Jay-Z’s forthcoming remake of the hit musical Annie.
