Green Day are expected to release a new live album in the New Year, it has emerged.

In recent months, fans have been speculating about a possible release, with the band commenting on the rumours via Twitter.

And now Amazon in the UK has listed a new double-disc album entitled 'Awesome As F*ck'. The retailer says it will be released on March 15.

Green Day, whose last live album 'Bullet In A Bible' was released in 2006, have yet to comment on the listing.

As previously reported, singer Billie Joe Armstrong is due to return to the stage in the Broadway musical American Idiot in January.
