Paramore have vowed to continue following the departure of guitarist Josh Farro and drummer Zac Farro.

In a statement, Hayley Williams, Jeremy Davis and Taylor York said the brothers had come to the decision “a couple of months ago”.

Josh and Zac played their last performance with the band in Orlando on December 12.

Paramore's remaining members said they weren't “really shocked” and insisted that the brothers' departure didn't mark the end for the group.

“We never for a second thought about leaving any of this behind," they said.

"We really hope that you can be encouraged by the fact that the three of us who are still here are ready to take on another chapter of our journey together."

Paramore are currently due to return to the road for a month-long tour of South American in February next year.
