Lady Gaga Bites Santa's Head Off At London O2 Arena Gig

December 17, 2010
Lady Gaga Bites Santa's Head Off At London O2 Arena GigLady Gaga tore the head off a stuffed Santa Claus as she performed at London's O2 Arena last night (December 16).

The singer took her aggression out on the doll midway through her 18-song set, which also saw her showcase material from her forthcoming new album.

Picking it up off the stage, she said: "I hate the holidays. I'm alone and miserable you f*cking stuffed little toy."

After attacking it with her teeth, Lady Gaga finished off the Santa by using the heel of her shoe.

"Oh he was pregnant with chemicals not made for children," she added as it tore in half.

The sold-out gig marked the singer's fourth appearance at the O2 Arena in 12 months and, as with her previous dates, followed Lady Gaga as she battled twisters and a haunted forest to make it to The Monster Ball.

Opener 'Dance In The Dark' set the tempo for the high-energy stage show, which featured a series of elaborate sets and eye-catching visuals.

As has become tradition, Lady Gaga changed costumes throughout the gig, sporting everything from a leopard print leather corset to her infamous fire-breathing boob tube.

Clearly comfortable on the big stage, she maintained constant conversation with the crowd, often shouting at them as she discussed topics including gay rights, being bullied and the media speculation over whether she sings live.

Ahead of ‘Love Game’, the singer also displayed her notoriety for courting controversy by claiming to have a "big c*ck", before simulating masturbation and telling the crowd to "get your d*cks out".

The singer paused during a piano-driven version of 'Speechless' in order to thank friends who had travelled from America to see her perform.

And she remained on the burning piano to showcase new song 'You And I' live for the first time in the UK.

The track, which featured an extended jazz interlude, is taken from her forthcoming album 'Born This Way', which the singer told the crowd "was not written by me, [but] it was written by you".

Other highlights in her set included 'Telephone', 'Monster' and 'Teeth'.

After defeating the monster and successfully making it to The Monster Ball, Lady Gaga concluded her performance with a bass heavy rendition of 'Bad Romance'.

  • Dance In The Dark
