Jay-Z believes that his new book 'Decoded' has helped fans really understand his 'story'.

'Decoded', which was released through a series of interactive games, sets out to explain the meanings behind the rapper's most famous lyrical lines.

"A lot of people listen to music, but they don't really listen to it. The trouble is that while many enjoy listening to hip-hop, oftentimes they don't pick up on the stories being relayed in the songs," Jay-Z said to MTV News.

He added: "You may know the words and you may bop your head to it, but you don't really understand what you're singing."

Meanwhile, Jay-Z has been working with Kanye West on new album 'Watch The Throne'.
