Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber Win Big At MTV EMAs 2010November 7, 2010
Lady Gaga dominated this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs), taking home three awards.
The singer, who did not attend the ceremony in Madrid, won prizes for Best Female, Best Song and Best Pop. She thanked her fans via satellite from Budapest, where she is on tour. Justin Bieber, who was the ceremony’s digital host, won two awards, Best Male and Best Push. Other winners included Linkin Park, who won Best Live, and Eminem, who was named Best Hip-Hop. 30 Seconds To Mars were named Best Rock, and were also joined during their performance by rapper Kanye West. Katy Perry won Best Video for her Snoop Dogg-featuring song ‘California Gurls’, while Paramore were named Best Alternative. The inaugural Global Icon awards was given to Bon Jovi. Rihanna, B.o.B, Shakira, Dizzee Rascal and Miley Cyrus all performed at the ceremony, which was hosted by Eva Longoria. The MTV EMA 2010 winners list:
