N-Dubz rapper Dappy has apologised after he was filmed taking the drug mephedrone. The footage, obtained by The Sun newspaper, was apparently shot after a gig in Essex last month. 
Yeasayer, D12 and Drake are among the new additions to this summer’s T in the Park festival in Scotland. Bombay Bicycle Club, Kids In Glass Houses and Detroit Social Club have also joined the bill.

Robyn has announced details of a one-off gig in London this summer. The singer will play the capital’s Heaven club on June 17. 
Young Knives have made a demo from recent recording sessions for their third album available online. The song, entitled ‘I Love My Name’, is currently streaming on the band’s official website. 
Shakira’s ‘Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)’ has been chosen as the official song for this summer’s football World Cup in South Africa. The singer will perform the song alongside local artist Freshlyground at the closing ceremony in Johannesburg on July 11. 
Courtney Love has claimed she had an affair with Gwen Stefani’s husband Gavin Rossdale. Love said the pair enjoyed an eight-month romance and that Stefani knew about the affair. 
The Steve Miller Band are set to play their first European shows in over 25 years this October. The jaunt will begin with two UK dates, at London’s Royal Albert Hall on October 7 and the Apollo in Manchester on October 8. 
Florence Welch has revealed that her second album has been influenced by crystals. Welch, who performs as Florence & The Machine, is currently recording the follow-up to 2009’s ‘Lungs’. 
Poison singer Bret Michaels has suffered a “setback” following his recent brain haemorrhage. A medical update said test results had indicated that Michaels may have a lack of sodium in the body, which can trigger seizures. 
Mystery Jets and Shook 1 will take part at the launch of a new initiative for young people in London tonight (April 28). Jim Screech, The Petebox and Radio 1 DJ Nihal are also expected to attend the event in the capital. 
Band of Skulls and Lucky Soul have been added to the line-up for this summer’s Beach Break Live festival. Other new additions to the bill include Kitty Daisy and Lewis, Pastician and A1 Bassline. 
Ellie Goulding and The xx have been added to the line-up for this summer’s iTunes festival. The free event will feature a total of 62 bands over 31 nights at the Roundhouse in Camden. 
50 Cent has said that illegal downloading won’t affect the music business forever. The rapper said he was confident that laws could be passed to change how music was obtained, but acknowledged it could take time. 
The Fall’s Mark E Smith is set to release a song for England’s bid to win this summer’s football World Cup. The track, entitled ‘England's Heartbeat’, was written alongside ex-Fall member Ed Blaney and Jenny Shuttleworth, and will be released under the name Shuttleworth. 
Spoon have announced details of a one-off gig in London this winter. The US band will play Shepherd’s Bush Empire on November 16. Support acts will be announced in the coming months. 
Doves are taking a break from recording any more new music for at least two years. The Manchester band say they need some “breathing space” and see their recently released 'Best Of' album as the end of a chapter in their career. 
Tinie Tempah will now support Rihanna at four dates on her upcoming UK tour. The British rapper will open for the singer in Nottingham (May 14) and Glasgow (19 and 20), in addition to his previously announced slot in London on May 11.
