Leona Lewis has unveiled details of a full UK Arena tour for May and June 2010. The 24-year-old singer's first ever tour will take in nine shows - including two nights at London's O2 Arena. 
The magnificent Midlake have announced a second UK tour for 2010. The Texans will play five dates in February, including a huge gig at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire, on top of their already confirmed shows in January. 
Sting has slammed X Factor saying it is nothing but “televised karaoke” and that it does not promote new musical talent. In his stinging attack, the former Police singer also berated X Factor judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue saying they are only interested in “self-promotion.” 
American rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd will return to the UK next year to play a series of live dates. This will be the first time the band have played in Britain since the release of their successful album 'God & Guns' earlier this year. 
Babyshambles are set to play an ultra-intimate pub gig in London tonight (November 12). Pete Doherty and co. will headline another 'whites of their eyes' gig at The Dirty South in Lewisham, South-East London following their gig at The Proud Gallery last week. 
Sir Paul McCartney's son James has started up a band which he says is influenced by The Beatles. The 32-year-old's group is called The Light and features Charlie Turner and Bryan Johnson from the deceased Liverpool outfit The Dead 60s. 
Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced that they will perform on January 29 next year in a concert to pay tribute to Neil Young. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, MusiCares has awarded Neil Young the Person Of The Year Award. 
Jamie T has rescheduled his UK and Ireland tour dates which he was forced to postpone due to a severe bout of laryngitis. The singer will now honour the shows in January and February 2010 with all original tickets remaining valid. 
Rihanna is the latest music star to guest perform on the X Factor. The singer will appear on an edition of the ITV talent show later this month, following in the footsteps of Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams, Whitney Houston and Leona Lewis. 
Ladytron are set to release a greatest hits album according to band member Ruben Wu. “We've got some ideas about what we want to do about the next album, but I think first we're going to release a 'Best of Ladytron,'” multi-instrumentalist Reuben Wu told Spinner. "Since we've done four albums, I think it would be time to put something like that together." 
Morrissey is set to feature on long-running radio show Desert Island Discs later this month. The Smiths legend's edition of the show will be aired on BBC Radio4 at 11.15am on Sunday November 29. 
A 75 track album of Elvis Presley's biggest UK hits is to be released to celebrate what would have been his 75th birthday in January. The bumper three CD album 'Elvis 75' will comes out through Sony Music on January 4th, 2010, four days before The King's birthday. 
The Ting Tings have signed to the management arm of Jay-Z's US-based record label Roc Nation. The duo are said to be working on new material with the rapper ahead of the release of their second album next year. 
Robert Pattinson has hailed the “amazing” impact appearing on the soundtrack to a Twilight film can have on musicians. The actor, who plays Edward Cullen in the four-part vampire saga, said the score had the power to break new acts. 
!!! have paid tribute to their drummer Jerry Fuchs who died after falling down an elevator shaft in New York on Sunday morning (November 8). Paying homage to the “special” person that Jerry was, the band wrote epitaph on their Myspace page. 
Three-dimensional scans of Michael Jackson mean the late singer could perform once more in music videos and films. The scans were taken in 1996 when Jackson asked for a virtual reality double to be made of himself. 
The xx say they are “ridiculously sad” that Baria Qureshi has departed the band for good. In an interview with The Stool Pigeon, Oliver Sim from the band announced that The xx were now a three-piece and cited touring as a major reason for Qureshi's exit.
