Paramore have confirmed details of a huge UK and Ireland tour for this December. Singer Hayley Williams made the announcement live on stage at their intimate Islington Academy show in London last night. 
Florence and the Machine are currently the bookies' favourite to scoop the Mercury Prize tonight. According to Betfair.com, Florence Welch is 3 to 1 favourite with 'Lungs', Speech Debelle's 'Speech Therapy' is 9-2 and The Horrors' 'Primary Colours' follows at 7-1 and then 'Bat For Lashes' is at 8-1 with 'Two Suns'. 
Chris Brown, Mary J Blige and Akon are among the first acts confirmed for a Michael Jackson tribute concert in Vienna. The gig, which will take place on September 26, will also feature performances from Angela Bassett, Sister Sledge and German boy band US5.

Marilyn Manson is set to play a four-date UK tour this December, it's been confirmed. The rocker kicks off his short jaunt at London's Brixton Academy on December 9, before calling into Birmingham, Manchester and Nottingham. 
Friendly Fires drummer Jack Savidge has been admitted to hospital and risks missing this evening's Mercury Music Prize ceremony. The St. Albans band are nominated for the prestigious prize and are scheduled perform alongside fellow nominees La Roux, Bat For Lashes and The Horrors. 
Jay-Z has rush released his new album 'The Blueprint 3' after it leaked online. The rapper's latest effort was due out on September 11 to coincide with the eighth anniversary of the original 'Blueprint'. 
Nine Inch Nails have apologised to fans after they were forced to cancel two dates in Los Angeles because of illness. One of the two dates, at the Wiltern Theatre last Saturday, was meant to mark the band's last ever show.
