The Enemy’s frontman Tom Clarke has accused the organisers of the BRIT Awards of being spineless for awarding the major prizes to the Arctic Monkeys. Arctic Monkeys walked away with Best British Band and Best British album at the award ceremony in London earlier this month. 
The Kooks’ frontman Luke Pritchard says that the bands fans already know the lyrics to songs off their forthcoming second album. 'Konk' isn't released until April 14th, however, Pritchard says that the internet is largely responsible for making the lyrics so widely available. 
The Dandy Warhols are set to launch their own record label and are readying a new album to on the imprint later this year. The band have linked up with the World’s Fair Group to start the label called Beat The World after leaving Capitol with whom they released four albums. 
Eminem has reportedly been approached by organisers to perform at Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday party in Hyde Park this summer. The US rapper has been asked along with other acts including Razorlight, Queen and Keane to perform at the event. 
Radiohead’s co-managers, Bryce Edge and Chris Hufford, were named innovators of the year at the first MediaGuardian Awards in London last night (March 6th). The Courtyard Management pair won the award for the ‘pay-what-you-want’ method which the band used to release their latest album, ‘In Rainbows’. 
Beck has drafted in Danger Mouse to produce his new album, the follow up to 2006’s ‘The Information’. The record is currently in the early stages with no news yet of an expected release date or tracks names. 
Klaxons will not play any festivals in 2008 in order to concentrate on recording their second album, keyboardist James Righton has revealed. Speaking to 6 Music, Righton said that despite a one-off event in Brazil they were concerned about playing any. 
The Police will headline a huge outdoor event in Ireland this summer, which is being billed as their last ever appearance in the country. The concert will take place in the ground of the Stormont estate on June 20th. 
China will impose strict rules on visiting musicians following Bjork’s cries of ‘Tibet, Tibet’ during a concert in Shanghai. The singer caused uproar when she made the remarks following her song, ‘Declare Independence’. 
Tickets to see Led Zeppelin’s reunion show at the O2 Arena in London were amongst the most in demand on internet auction sites last year. According to the research firm Tixdaq, the band’s reunion show produced the highest average ticket price of £707.97.
