Cheryl Cole Expected To Perform At V Festival, Organisers SayJuly 8, 2010
Cheryl Cole is still expected to perform at next month's V Festival, despite being diagnosed with Malaria.
The X Factor judge is currently being treated for the illness at a specialist unit inside University College London. She is believed to have contracted the disease on a break in Africa last month. V Festival organisers said the singer's management company had yet to inform them about whether or not she would be able to perform. “Unless otherwise informed, organisers are expecting her to appear as planned and wish her a speedy recovery,” a spokesperson told the Press Association. Cole is booked to appear in The Arena at the event, which takes in Staffordshire and Chelmsford on August 21 and 22. V Festival will be headlined by Kings Of Leon and Kasabian.
