The Killers' Brandon Flowers Says Making Solo Album Was 'Lonely'June 15, 2010
The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has admitted that he found recording his debut solo album “lonely”.
The singer, who is set to release 'Flamingo' in the autumn, said the album came together when he realised he wasn't ready to take a long break from the band. "It was weird," he told BBC Newsbeat. "Without union and the Killers and that way of doing things and friendship. I had fun making the record but that brotherhood didn't exist. At times it was a little bit lonely. "It wasn't born out of a need to do something different or to get attention or anything else - it was really to make music." Flowers added that his solo project didn't mark the end of the Killers, and that they were already discussing recording new material. The singer debuted his new single 'Crossfire' on BBC Radio 1 last night (June 14). The song is released in September.
