John Mayer has been forced to cancel the remaining dates on his European tour due to illness.

The four dates includes two performances in Amsterdam tonight (June 2) and tomorrow (June 3).

Mayer’s appearances at Rock in Rio on June 4 and at the MEN arena in Manchester on June 5 have also been axed.

The US singer has been advised to return home and is expected to make a full recovery, a message on his website said.

The statement did not disclose whether the dates would be rescheduled.

Ticket holders should apply for a refund from point of purchase.
