Mick Jagger: 'Rolling Stones Still Worked Hard On Drugs'May 24, 2010
Mick Jagger has acknowledged that the band took a lot of drugs but says they still worked hard on their career.
In an interview with The Sun, the singer said the group were able to come together even amid their heaviest sessions. "Yes we used to take loads of drugs but we worked very, very hard as a unit during those drink-and drug-fuelled sessions,” he said. However, Jagger added that later in their career the excesses of drugs "would become part of the process and that's when it could become weird and difficult". As previously reported, the Stones’ infamous 1972 album ‘Exile On Main Street’ topped the UK album chart for a second time on Sunday (May 23). The special re-issue features previously unheard material recorded during the original sessions. (by Jason Gregory) See also: The Rolling Stones 'Have No Firm Plans To Tour' (02.02.2011)
