Axl Rose: 'Manager Tried To Bully Me Into Full Guns N' Roses Reunion'May 19, 2010
Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has claimed that his former manager tried to coax him into reuniting with the band’s original members.
Rose said Azoff hatched a “secret plan” that would leave him with no option but to reform the original line-up. His claim is one of several made in a countersuit against Azoff’s Front Line Management, filed in Los Angeles. The two parties split earlier this year - just two years after Rose had hired the company to manage him. In March, Azoff sued Rose, accusing him of “failing and refusing” to pay a 15 percent commission from Guns N’ Roses recent Chinese Democracy tour. However, in the countersuit, Rose claimed Azoff had “resigned and abandoned Guns n' Roses on the eve of a major tour, filing suit for commissions he didn't earn and had no right to receive”. The countersuit added that Azoff's decision to leave was part of "a secret plan to set up Rose and the [current] band for failure so that Rose would have no choice but to reunite with the original Guns n' Roses' members". According to the Hollywood Reporter, Rose is seeking $5million in damages. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Guns N Roses Turn Down Glee Offer (19.01.2011)
