Keane Top UK Album Chart With 'Night Train'May 17, 2010
Keane have scored their fourth successive number one on the UK album chart.
The band’s eight-track ‘Night Train EP’ went straight in at number one on this week’s countdown. Keane’s previous albums, ‘Hope And Fears’ in 2004, ‘Under The Iron Sea’ in 2006 and 2008’s ‘Perfect Symmetry’, all achieved the same feat. Elsewhere on the album countdown, Lady Gaga’s ‘The Remix’ - which features remixes of songs from her smash-hit album ‘The Fame’ - debuted at number three. The National scored their highest ever UK chart entry at number five with ‘High Violet’. Foals also went straight in at number eight with ‘Total Live Forever’, according to the Official Charts Company. Meanwhile, on the singles chart, Roll Deep remain at number one for a third week with ‘Good Times’. New entries inside the top-10 include Jason Derulo’s ‘Ridin’ Solo’ at number two and ‘She’s Always A Woman’ by Fyfe Dangerfield at number seven.
