Bret Michaels: 'Brain Haemorrhage Sounded Like A Handgun'May 7, 2010
Poison singer Bret Michaels has said his recent brain haemorrhage “sounded like a handgun”.
Michaels, 47, was rushed to hospital last month suffering from a severe headache. Doctors still don’t know the cause of the singer’s hemorrhage, but said he was expected to make a full recovery. In an interview with People magazine, Michaels said he believed “it just wasn’t my time yet”. "As painful as this experience has been, I was given a second chance, right?" he said. "I don't want to sit around every night worrying this is going to happen again." He added that a brain haemorrhage was “definitely not a rock star way to go out”. Michaels has been advised to rest for four to six weeks. It is not clear when he will be able to resume touring.
