Sir Paul McCartney Not Impressed By UK General Election LeadersApril 30, 2010
Sir Paul McCartney says he's not impressed with the leaders of the three main parties in the UK general election, instead he wishes we had someone like Barack Obama.
Speaking to Absolute Radio, Macca said of Gordon Brown, Nick Clegg and David Cameron: "I'm not awfully impressed with the people who are in it. “You know, I want a Barack Obama. If Obama was running here I think I'd be able to say, 'Yeah, change, this is good, this is something different'.” The Beatles legend also revealed that he has been making secret visits to the Houses Of Parliament to watch debates. "It was a very boring debate,” he said. “But that's not the point, it's kind of seeing democracy at work." "It's great to do because you're actually in Parliament and seeing it at work."
