Mike Skinner made a brief appearance as a security guard in Dr Who at the weekend.

The Streets singer appeared dazed with a lipstick kiss on his lips at the beginning of The Time Of The Angels.

Skinner, who was seen standing in a large garden, also uttered the confused line: “It’s a beautiful day.”

The singer first disclosed details about his cameo in the BBC sci-fi drama in a post on Twitter last August.

He told fans he had secured ”a part in Doctor Who”, but later removed the post, leading to speculation that he had been asked to take it down.
