Amy Winehouse has teamed up with fashion label Fred Perry to work on her own signature clothing line.

The singer has had three 'major' meetings with Fred Perry's marketing director, Richard Martin, and has submitted sketches and ideas to the project.

The range of 17 items, including polo shirts and skirts, is tentatively scheduled to hit the shelves in October of this year.

Featuring an Amy Winehouse logo, the first range will be in the singer's favourite colours pink and black.

Richard Martin told The Sun: "We had three major design meetings where she was closely involved in product style selection and the application of fabric, colour and styling details.

"Amy gave crucial input on proportion, colour and fit. The range clearly has Amy's handwriting."

Music stars including Paul Weller and Gorillaz' Damon Albarn have previously worked with Fred Perry.

Liam Gallagher, Kings of Leon, Ronnie Wood, Katy Perry and Albert Hammond Jr are amongst the many names who have launched their own clothing line in recent years.
