Courtney Love Fails To Turn Up For London Proud Gallery Gig

February 12, 2010
Courtney Love Fails To Turn Up For London Proud Gallery GigCourtney Love failed to turn up for her scheduled at the Proud Gallery in Camden last night leaving hundreds of punters unhappy.

It's claimed that the reason why Love didn't show for the intimate gig is because she was “barricaded into her hotel” after police blocked off her street.

It's thought the street closure was due to a huge illegal party in Park Lane, Mayfair which attracted over 2,000 people.

Many people who turned up to the Smash & Grab night wrote their thoughts on Twitter.

One said: “Just got back from courtney love's surprise show. the real surprise would've been if she actually showed up for it... which she didn't.”

Another wrote: “At least she's living up to her legendary rock n' roll status.”

Smash & Grab booker Sally Jones wrote an apology on Facebook in the early hours of this morning, saying: “thank you guys for sticking with us and making tonight amazing. despite everyones best efforts we couldnt help the fact that Courtneys street got blocked off by the police and they were barricaded into their hotel!!!”
