Daniel Powter's 'Bad Day' Crowned Top One-Hit Wonder Of The 2000sDecember 9, 2009
Daniel Powter's 'Bad Day' has been named as the one-hit wonder of the decade by Billboard magazine.
The Canadian's huge 2005 smash hit stayed on the top spot in the US for five weeks, however his follow-up single 'Free Loop (One Night Stand)' failed to dent the top 30. It fits perfectly with Billboard's definition of a one-hit wonder – an act whose second second single did not reach the top 25. James Blunt's 'You're Beautiful', Terror Squad's 'Lean Back', Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy' and Blu Cantrell's 'Hit Em Up Style (Oops!)' also made the top ten. (by Scott Colothan) |
