John And Edward Fans Launch Campaign For Duo To Headline Glastonbury 2010November 30, 2009
 An online petition is calling for X Factor stars John and Edward to headline the 2010 Glastonbury festival.
The Facebook group says the Irish duo deserve to headline the event so they can receive the “respect they deserve”. John and Edward – dubbed Jedward by their fans – were voted off the ITV 'talent' show earlier this month. However, their entertaining performance style has proved popular with the public and musicians, including Sir Paul McCartney. One supporter of the Glastonbury petition wrote: “Blur, Bruce, Jay Z, The Who, The Killers, JEDWARD! C'MON!!” U2 are so far the only confirmed headliners for next year’s Glastonbury festival, which runs from June 25-27. On Saturday, David Bowie denied a newspaper report that claimed he was in negotiations to perform at the event in Somerset.
