Cheryl Cole On For The Fastest Selling Single Of 2009October 20, 2009
Cheryl Cole's debut solo single 'Fight For This Love' is set to become one of the year's biggest selling singles, first day sales figures suggest.
Buoyed by her appearance in front of 14million viewers on X Factor on Sunday, the Girls Aloud singer has surpassed Alexandra Burke's first day sales last week and is a sure-fire bet for number one. Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot says: "This will be second successive week of massive single sales - led by Cheryl. Her first days sales are just amazing and put her in pole position to top the Official Singles Chart on Sunday. "Together with Alexandra Burke, she is likely to set the sales standard by which everyone will be judged for the rest of the year, in the run-up to Christmas."
