Aerosmith To Make Live Return Following Steven Tyler InjuryOctober 8, 2009
Aerosmith will return to the stage next week for the first time since singer Steve Tyler broke his shoulder in August.
The US band will play a private gig for the software company Oracle Corp, which is owned by billionaire Larry Ellison. A spokeswoman for the company told Reuters: “Aerosmith is a go.” The concert comes just two months after Tyler was injured when he fell off stage during a gig in South Dakota. The band were forced to cancel their North American tour due to Tyler's injury, which guitarist Joe Perry said recently had left him disappointed. “I was pretty (upset), because right before that, he (Tyler) had pulled a muscle in his leg. And we had to take two weeks off and we missed probably seven dates," Perry said. Perry also claimed that the incident proved the band needed to examine their current status. "All I know is he's got to get his act together,” Perry said. (by Jason Gregory) See also: Aerosmith's Steven Tyler Says Memoir Will Be Full Of Tales Of Debauchery, Sex And Drugs (13.04.2011)
