Lady GaGa has been accused of of being 'irresponsible' by an anti-suicide group following the MTV Video Music Awards.

During her performance at the awards on Sunday GaGa dangled from a rope and pretended to stab herself whilst she performed the hit single 'Paparazzi'.

Now the UK based PAPYRUS, a group set up to aid young people suffering from mental health issues, has hit out at the popstar claiming, “Sensationalising and romanticising suicide is irresponsible.”

A spokesperson for the group went on to say that, “Celebrities, who are often idolised by young people, need to be more aware of the impact that such acts can have on vulnerable young people.”
