Arctic Monkeys Eyeing August Release For Third AlbumMay 14, 2009
Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders has revealed the band are hoping to release their third album in August.
The record, which is currently untitled, has been produced by Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme. Speaking to BBC 6 Music, Helders said the the band had recorded all of the songs and were currently half-way through the mixing stage. But he added: "We haven't picked titles or anything. It's just a case of tying it up now, picking what order everything's in." Arctic Monkeys are expected to showcase the follow-up to 2007's 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' during festival appearances this summer. As previously reported, Helders is curating a free festival in Sheffield this summer. Tramlines will run from July 24-27 at venues across the city, but will not feature the drummer's band.
