Lady GaGa Makes US Chart HistoryApril 2, 2009
Lady GaGa has become the first artist of the new millennium to top the US charts with her first two singles.
Her latest track 'Poker Face' climbed to the top spot after 15 weeks on the chart, adding to her number one hit 'Just Dance' in 2008. The last act in America to accomplish the feat of two debut number ones was Christina Aguilera with 'Genie In A Bottle' and 'What A Girl Wants' in 1999. Meanwhile, Lady GaGa – real name Stefani Germanotta – performed a show-stealing rendition of 'Poker Face' on American Idol last night (April 1).
