Kelly Clarkson Replaces U2 On Top Of US Album ChartMarch 18, 2009
Kelly Clarkson has ended U2's reign at the top of the US Billboard album chart.
The former American Idol winner's new record, 'All I Ever Wanted', went straight in at number one with first week sales of 255,000 copies. The album is Clarkson's second US chart topper. The Dream was another new entry at number two with 'Love vs. Money', which features guest appearances from Kanye West and Mariah Carey. Last week's number one, U2 fell to number three with 'No Line On The Horizon'. The album has topped the charts in over 30 countries, including the UK. The rest of the top five was completed by J Holiday's 'Round 2' at number four and 'Fearless' by Taylor Swift at number five.
