Alexandra Burke Lands Huge Deal To Crack AmericaFebruary 13, 2009
X Factor winner Alexandra Burke has landed a $4.26million deal to kick-start her career in America.
Her launch Stateside is being masterminded by Epic Records who are behind the careers of Rihanna and Beyonce Knowles. Burke told The Sun that she's inspired by other British acts who have cracked the United States, saying: “I’d love to crack the U.S. After seeing Coldplay take away the awards at the Grammys I was so inspired.” An insider told the newspaper: “Epic think Alexandra can follow in Leona’s footsteps. The U.S. market loves women with big voices - and Alex certainly has that. If she comes close to Leona’s success it will be a job well done.” (by Scott Colothan) See also: Alexandra Burke Brother 'Is A Drug Dealer' (16.03.2011)
