Robbie Williams: 'I'd Love To Rejoin Take That'December 11, 2008
Robbie Williams has hinted that he would like to rejoin Take That – a move that would re-establish the boy band's original line up.
Writing on his inner sanctum website, the singer said he had wanted to be in a band again ever since he left the group in the mid-90s. "The thing that struck me the most was how much fun they're having,” Williams said of his bandmates, who reformed without him in 2006. “It's more rewarding when you're a gang.” Williams' departure from Take That in 1995 triggered the boy band's initial demise but since reforming without the singer they have enjoyed a hugely successful re-birth. However, speculation over whether Williams would rejoin the band has mounted over recent months since it was revealed that Williams' had rekindled his relationship with singer Gary Barlow. On their renewed friendship, Williams wrote: "We got together a lot over the summer. It was amazing. We've all matured a lot since we parted. I'm very pleased to say the differences we've had have just melted away." The singer, who is reported to be moving back to the UK after five years living in America, said he had celebrated by getting a Tattoo symbol in his right arm. “I'm proud to know the boys and I'm proud to be in the band,” Williams added. "I'd love to be in the band again but I've got some unfinished business of my own." Williams is currently recording his new studio album which, according to he manager, will be released in 2009.
