![]() West, who won Favourite Male Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and Rap/Hip-Hop Album, said it was the “responsibly” of musicians “to keep pushing each other”. "We will be the new Beatles, the new (Jimi) Hendrix. I want to be Elvis,” he added. US R&B star Chris Brown was the biggest winner of the night, taking home three prizes, including Artist of the Year. "I'm so thankful and grateful. I thought Coldplay should have won the award, but I'll take it,” Brown told reporters. The singer also collected Favourite male artist in the Pop/Rock and Soul/R&B prizes – a feet mirrored by his girlfriend Rihanna in the female categories. Performances at the Nokia Theatre came from Miley Cyrus, Ne-Yo and Beyonce, while Christina Aguilera attempted to steal the show with a hit laden set.
